WARREN, OHIO—Drake Manufacturing has accepted its certification as a GE Fanuc 5-Star Retrofitter – the top level of achievement in GE Fanuc’s Machine Tool Retrofit Program.

This program has three different levels (3, 4, or 5-Star) depending on the retrofitter’s expertise and capabilities. To qualify as a “best-in-class” Fanuc Solutions Provider, Drake met several key requirements:

• Demonstrated uniquely strong Fanuc CNC technical
• Has an extensive international customer base
• Met minimum retrofit volume targets

“This Fanuc certification gives our Control Renewal customers added confidence in our ability to upgrade their machines,” said Drake’s President, Jim Vosmik. “We can replace our customers’ aging, unreliable controls with those of the 21st century – giving extra years of life to otherwise good machines at a fraction of the cost of new,” he adds.
